How it works
- Questions: A set of questions about a database, each worth points: "the best student in each department", and harder. Run queries as often as you like and submit your answer.
- Hidden check: Each submission also runs on hidden databases with the same tables but different data, so a query that only fits the sample won't score.
Setup
- Lab PCs, one per team
- MySQL 8, read-only SELECT queries, 5-second time limit per query
- An SQL cheat sheet and dialect converter in the editor
Judging
- Each question scores on matching columns (30%) and matching rows (70%), taking your weakest result across all databases.
- Partial credit is capped at 70% unless the result is exact; an error or timeout scores 0.
- Your best attempt at each question counts. Totals are scaled to 100.
